War agaisnt grammar

the first chaper first out with Mulroy starts out with how little adults and students know very little about grammar. He believes that with poeples knowledge our graamar had led to lower SAT scores, which brought around the need for zero level english courses. Mulroy also believes that learning a foriegn has become harder since grammar wasnt not taught at grade levels. He doesnt believe that the students are to blame for their lack of proper grammar. he is kinda putting the blame on the teachers for not teaching grammar.

i believe that grammar is very important and the sooner you learn and understand it. But grammar is not taught as well as it could be. i dont remember a grammar class after the fifth grade. it is something that needs to continued to be taught and not just in grade school settings with deeper studying. so we dont need lower graamar or english courses as we get older.
